Celts swoop for McAreavey

DONEGAL Celtic FC is pleased to announce that former Linfield and Dundalk midfielder Paul McAreavy has signed for the club.
Pending international clearance, McAreavey will be included in Saturday's squad to face Linfield in the JJB Sports Irish Cup at Celtic Park (2pm).
Manager Pat McAllister said: "Paul's arrival at the club is one of the biggest, if not the biggest signings in the history of the club. It's not just about Saturday's game - Paul is part of the bigger picture - that being the aim of winning promotion back to the Premier League.
"Paul is joining us on an amateur contract until the end of the season and if we are a Premier League side next season we will be in a strong position to talk to him over the summer. He wants to play for Donegal Celtic and turned down better offers to join us and that means a lot."
