The club hosted its first-ever Chinatown Day this year. The event is the club's way of saying Welcome to Belfast's Chinese Community.
Donegal Celtic played against the Chinese Community team after a traditional Chinese Lion Dance entertained the fans, who were also kept occupied by stalls promoting Chinese food, culture and art.A
Anna Lo, the first-ever non-national elected MLA backed the event. Chinatown Day 2008 is scheduled to take place in August and promises to be bigger and better.

Donegal Celtic's former managers selected a Legends team made up of the most talented and loyal players in the club's short history in football.
